| WHAT SIZE? Regular Yorkie Toy Size is 6-9 lbs then Mid Size is Tiny Toy: 4-6 and Teacup is 4lbs and under. All yorkies are born black and gold and most lighten up to various shades of black/silver/ blue on their backs and shades of gold/tan/blonde on their heads. Color can be hard to determine as it takes several months or up to a full year for their final color to develop and grow out. Most puppies at 8 wks will start a silver growth in on the top of their head if they are going to be a lighter color yorkie. I strive to produce toy and tiny toy size yorkies that are healthier and easier to raise than the teacups but occasionally I do have teacups available. Working families or families with small children would be much better off with a sturdier, healthier toy size larger yorkie. I will not sell a teacup to a family with small children or to a home where no one is home all day. Teacups are very prone to hypoglycemia and must be monitored every 2-3 hrs to make sure they are eating good and supplements are suggested. All my yorkies have their tails docked and dewclaws removed at birth. The pictures posted on this website are the actual puppies for sale! |
