What size is teacup, toy, miniature??????

Teacup Puppies should grow to approximately 2-4 lbs
I strive to produce toy size puppies, but occasionally in my smaller bloodlines I have Teacup
puppies available.   They are very fragile fine-boned puppies that require more care and
medical attention than other size puppies.   Teacups are very prone to "sugaring out"
(hypoglycemia) till around 6 months old and can seizure and die from lack of food/calories or
over exertion in just a few hours.  Some Teacups will have a shorter life span than larger
puppies because of the small liver and other organs.   They usually are hard to house break
also because of their tiny bladders.   They usually can not jump on and off the couch without
assistance, or steps. They require special supplements during babyhood.   I am very
selective about placing teacup puppies--you must be at home most of the time and not have
small children.  Please do not purchase a teacup puppy for a fashion statement and please
realize the responsibility you are about to undertake.  Teacups are NOT for everyone!

TINY TOY Puppies 4-6 lbs grown
This size will carry the same characteristics from teacup and toy, and will be a combination
of both.  This is thought to be the best of both worlds!  A smaller toy that is less complicated
to raise than a teacup.

Toy Puppies  to approx. 6-10 lbs
Toy breeds are healthier stronger boned puppies and can when grown jump off the couch
but might avoid injury with steps or assistance.  Toy breed puppies still need regular caloric
intake during babyhood or they can get hypoglycemic.  Toy breed puppies need to be
supervised as babies around small children and larger pets.  Toy breeds can live up to
15-17 years!

Miniature Puppies  to approx. 11-25 lbs
Miniature puppies are a good sized house pet that will have no trouble running and jumping
on and off furniture.  They will require more exercise than the smaller breeds.  Miniature's
lifespan varies per breed but averages from 10-15 years.  Mini's are very hearty healthy
dogs and will have less health concerns of the smaller breeds.

Each dog breed size will vary from toy to mini.  The above sizes are
primarily taken from poodles but can be referenced in other breeds.
