Petit Jean Puppies
MEDICAL RECORDS SCHEDULE:

I try very hard to stick with this schedule for all puppies.  I will send you a shot record with stickers
showing the actual shot and exact dates given.  Some puppies might vary from this slightly either
because of illness, or not weaning well, or just being too small to start the routine.

3 days, remove dewclaws, dock tails, if necessary, ear cropping

2 wks, Panacur wormer (3 days)

4 wks, Panacur wormer (3 days)
start on wetted dry Eukanuba puppy food with Goat's Milk
             Cut toenails, ear mite drops

6 wks   Panacur Wormer (3 days straight)
5 Way Puppy Shot, Galaxy 5 Way

10 days prior to transition:
Start 5 day run of Albon Suspension  (coccidiosis prevention)
Then 5 day run of Albon mixed with Flagyl (coccidia and giardia prevention)

7 1/2 wks or Older:  Vet Exam and Fecal Check by Dr. Chris Ward on pups to be shipped
Obtain Health Certificate, Legal requirement to ship out of state
        (only good for 10 days)
Clean Ears, Use Ear Mite Prevention Drops
Cut Toenails, give bath, dip if needed in organic puppy dip (they do get to exercise outside on
pretty days and might pick up a flea in the grass, so we use the organic dip if needed.)

8 wks, Panacur Wormer, 5 days straight
5 Way Puppy Shot, Galaxy 5 Way

8-9 wks puppy can be shipped or picked up locally
(unless a tiny toy, then 10wks or if teacup, then 12 wks) can vary

Responsibility of the BUYER

72 hour vet check, required for health guarantee, Make sure your vet does a fecal check to catch
any stress related intestinal problems or parasites.

10 wk and 12 wk,  7 Way Puppy Shot (possibly 8 week shot if not given for some reason)

Panacur wormer (every 2 wks till 3 months, then monthly)

12-16 wks, Rabies shot, given by your vet (some states 10 wks)

12 & 14 wks  Bordetella Vaccine Injectible (kennel cough)
The Intranasal Vaccine before 12 wks usually gives the puppy a case of kennel cough, therefore, I
no longer use the intranasal vaccine. It also does not offer the length of protection the shot offers.

Annual booster shots and exam

Annual Teeth Cleaning at Vet

Regular grooming (varies on breed, every 8 wks)

After 12 wks Monthly Frontline Plus or Advantix flea and tick prevention
NOTE: Do not use entire frontline packet on your pup, measure with tb syrine and calculate by
weight what amount is needed.  this will save you money too! (tip: buy the xl size)

Monthly Heart Guard or Interceptor Heartworm preventive (I prefer the Interceptor because it will
also take care of hook worms and whip worms where heart guard does not and you will need an
additional monthly wormer)

Check with your vet first about following this schedule.  Each state has different laws regarding pet
ownership, please make sure you are aware of the requirements!  Some states require a license to
own a pet!

Tcup Puppies medical records will vary slightly from the above.

If your vet gives the next shot any earlier than 10 days after the prior shot, your puppy can get sick,
and this will void your health guarantee.
