We now offer all breed dog grooming in Oppelo! I groom on Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays. We ask that you be here by 9am and I will try to have them done by early afternoon and sometimes sooner. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED! In 2005, I completed a complete grooming course with Linda Zimmerebener at Groommasters of Arkansas. Linda was a wonderful instructor. Grooming is just easy for me and I just love dogs. I have over 7 years of experience grooming my own puppies and dogs. I have training in all breeds and am capable of various custom grooms on the designer breeds as well. We will take special care of your dog while he or she is here and will take out for potty breaks and if you like, you can bring food for them. We have a laid back atmosphere and talk to them and try to make it as stress free as possible! We will keep a file on your dog and keep all pertinent information on hand. We need to know about: Allergies, Moles, Behavioral Issues, Special Needs and Shot Records. Please make sure your dog is up to date on their annual boosters. We require parvo and rabies vaccinations to be current. It is recommended that they also have the kennel cough vaccine but this is not required. They will be around other dogs and this is for your dog's health and safety ! We will call your vet to verify that their vaccinations are current. Ask about our creative groomings and custom hair dye services for dogs! We have semi permanent hair color just for dogs! Pastels are cute for Spring, Red/White/Blue for July, and so on. We will also do mohawks, lion cuts, and other non traditional cuts on your dog! It is just like you changing your hair, dogs like change too! If your dog is greying around the face, we can cover it up and give a more youthful look to your older dog! Remember that short haired breeds need regular grooming also. So if you have a short hair dog that sheds we use the de-shedding rake to remove as much of their undercoat as possible! This is a great way to reduce the amount of shedding in your house! We use the Furminator! They will be have a bath and their ears cleaned, toenails cut and filed, and their anal glands drained. We also can shave them if you like! Yes, shave them! Long haired dogs such as collies, shelties, aussies, huskies, golden retrievers and so on, can be shaved in the summer to keep them cool and comfortable! Our Basic Full Groom package includes: Basic bath, Puppy Hair Cut (leaving tail and face/ears longer) Ear Hairs Pulled and ears cleaned, Anal glands drained,and Toe Nails Cut, fluff blow dry and brush out. We will even file their toenails so they aren't sharp! They also get doggie cologne! If your dog is an extremely nervous dog or is traumatized by grooming, you can ask your vet about giving a dose of benedryl before you bring them. You can bring a blanket from home with your scent on it or their bed to help them feel more at home. You can drop off early and pickup later if you work. Or we can call or text you when your dog is ready! Please advise us if your dog has previous bad experience with grooming. We do special things to make sure he/she has a good experience here.
